Pix from Roadtrip Mostly Mountains
Jun. 10th, 2008 09:16 amWe has mountains here folks. Everywhere you look pretty much, but I never seem to get enough of them.
So unfortunately for you I post pix.
We drove out to Sutton to ride our ATVs and took these on the way and back. I didn't take the camera on the ride and I really regretted that when we were riding up the miningroad into the mountains
It was stunning up there and I loved the ride( he promised a highway instead of a boonytrack this time). I think the grumpy guy may have been a little bored because we'd be riding along and he'd veer off the trail up some stupid looking hills and things and then come bombing out of nowhere to be in front of me. I kept telling him if he got turned over or fell off a cliff he's the one with the phone. Once, I was jetting down the road (well it was sort of still a road up there. I don't think you'd want to try a car on it or anything) and realized I hadn't seen him in a while after he took off up some goat trail, so I slow down and started looking for him. Pretty soon he catches up looking a little sheepish*g* and says"uh dead end".My man of few words.
The mountains were hazy, but lovely. One of these days maybe I'll figure out how to take landscape pictures from a truck traveling at 60mph.

Knik River. We usually ride trails in this area but not this day!
