This morning we had a momma and calf in the front yard way too dark for good pix but here is the best attempt. The camera wants to pick up the foreground and the moose was getting spooked by the traffic.
The decorations look great - and I think I can just about make out a moose butt in the first one - I'm so jealous, you've got moose in your yard. ::moose, mooses, moosii?::
Yeah, pretty dark and we were kinda excited because they are usually gone by this time of the morning. About 7am the traffic starts to pick up with school buses and school district delivery trucks( elementary school down the street) so they are long gone. But this was a very young mother and not quite as experienced about the neighborhood yet. You have to click on it a couple of times to see said moose butt and it really is pathetic that we were so thrilled. Funny thing, the grumpy guy walked right next to her and didn't even see her.
We usually hear them clacking down the street but this morning my son walked out the door and whoa! He came right back in to tell me. He knew I'd been trying to catch one at the same time I had the camera. We saw one on the side of the street the other evening and the camera was at home. My sad camera has a broken battery door so it doesn't alway boot the first time I urn it on. Think it may be time for a new one.
I got a Panasonic Lumix for my trip to Wyoming and I've been desperately impressed with it. I wanted one with a big optical zoom, and this has a 10x, but it still wasn't all that expensive.
Thanks for the tip I'll add that to my search research list. Does it have a fast return (is that what it's called?) by the time mine is ready for the next shot Devyn is long gone doing something else.....

I love your halloween decorations! The place looks great. It's hard to get jazzed about decorating for autumn here--it was 90 degrees yesterday. Meh.
