That's why we have RONDY! everyone is going slightly crazy so the Miners and Trappers came to town to party down and sell there furs or gold. It's turned into whatever it is now......

Fur Rendezvous
It's an event that has everything from sled dog racing to helicopter, sled dog, and carnival rides (in feb brrrr) The Miners and Trapper Ball and silly things like a melodrama theater, Mr Furface contest, snowshoe softball, outhouse races and various arts fairs and shopping events.
Anything to drive off cabin fever.

You pretty much have to go to the Miners and Trappers Ball to see the furface contest (not really pretty imo).
As for the out house races they are on the street downtown.
