Phooey, can't do anything on Photoshop. Picked up something nasty somewhere on my pc and running v-scans, taking forever. Having to use laptop with Vista...maybe d'load the GIMP.....*hm
Stuck at home with Mom when I could be at a bakesale....oh joy.Already did laundry ,made up bed,washed hair,cleaned dishes, baked three pound cakes,well three 1/3# cakes to put in freezer
Bored Now. Very sad, only boring people get bored.
Mother calling, back to work..... maybe vacuum, can't hear over vacuum cleaner.

Have you tried podfic? Listening to a fanfic story always makes my boring chores more bearable.

I'm putting the link to the motherlode here. It's general_jinjur's website called Audiofics, and it has stories of different lengths on it. What you do is click on the link ( and there are directions) and the podfic is downloaded to your hardrive in a zipped folder. It will show up on your desktop. Then you can either listen to it on your computer ( not my favorite way, since I like to listen while I'm doing other stuff), or save it to a CD by using a writing progam like Nero or Windows Media, ot if you have a nifty little MP3 player, which is tiny but has tons of room for stories, you can make a copy of the story there. Well, mine has to work with Windows Media player. I kind of think that's a croc, with Windows being a monopoly, and there is supposed to be a way you can bypass Windows but I haven't found it and Media Player is easy to use. So, Ahem, back to the directions. After the downloaded story is on your Desktop, you have to unzip it. There will be something called extract files on the right menu when you click on it. Then you can move the file to wherever you want to store it. I have mine under audio books in my E-books folder. To put it on the little MP3 player, I click on add to Windows Media library on the menu when you right click on the story. Once in the Media Library, I plug in using the USB plug from my player to the computer. I go to Snych on Media Player, and drag over the story from the library files to the Synch list. When you hit the Synch button it will transfer a copy of the story to your player. When you have listened to all of them you can reformat your player and fill it back up again.

I have no doubt confused the heck out of you.

Shorter Directions

1. go to this site: http://jinjurly.com/audio
2. Pick the MP3 files,not the audio book unless your computer can handle them. Mine can't.
3. Follow directions on Downloading.
4. Once downloaded, Extract the files and file them where you want them in your folder system.
5. To make a regular CD, use a CD writing program.
6. To transfer stories to an MP3 player, You have to synch your player to the computer, and I use (relunctantly) Windows Media Player 10.
7. To get your stories into the Media library, there will be an option on the menu when you right click on the story that will add it to the Media Library.
8. With Media Player, you click on the Synch section, then drag stories to the section. When you plug in your player, it will tell you how much room you have left to add stories.
9. Hit the Synch button, it does't take but a minute to copy the stories.
10. Enjoy the stories.
11. When finished you can reformat the MP3 player and add new stories.

Thank you .I use Windows Commander so that makes d'loading and file finding very easy.
Plenty of room on my MP3 player too.
