Got tangled in the sheet and fell out of bed....
Takes some real talent and skill to fall out of a waterbed.

And Scott wonders why I got rid of his when we were first married! Besides the fact that it is hard to do ANYTHING fun in one of those damn things... when you aren't used to it.

We bought it after first baby slightly dislocating my coccyx.
Tried a couple of others but so far always came back. I'd rather not fuss too much. I pick my battles carefully *g*

I fell out of bed no less and thwacked my right elbow on the floor. Hard to put on makeup left handed, but I'm very determined. I can still use the arm just carefully.

Oh bummer hon - and of course you're right handed, 'cos life's like that *g*. If it's any consolation, I minced an elbow five years ago, and it forgave me completely inside 6 weeks and has never grumbled since.

Glad to hear that, I go to the orthopedic guy in the next couple of days to make sure the joint isn't badly damaged.
At least I didn't have to have a cast or sling....big yea there.

But really, you're lucky in a way, that it IS broken - the sprain or strain would have been much more painful, sweetie! Thank God your waterbed didn't break anything else. Tell "Grumpy" to stop jumping in bed in the morning!

Surprisingly doesn't hurt much most of the time. Night is another matter.

Ow still growing then. My daughter fractured her wrist rollerskating. The Dr said it was in the perfect place for a growing child if they had to break something. Whatever that means.

Radial fracture just below the joint. Kinda jammed the joint out of place too. Thus visit with orthopedic dr. No one said anything about how long yet but so far doesn't sound too bad.
I think I may make my kids tote for me for a while. A couple are already.

Little things you don't think about like washing your hair when the arm won't bend to your head and putting on earrings...flossing! typing with one hand and clicking the wrong mouse button.
Dumb stuff.Of course cooking and loading dishwasher, sorting laundry etc can all be done with one hand. No problem there.

Oh, sweetie! I was going to ask how you did this, then I read through all the other comments. Sounds like something I would do and goes along well with my "the dog did it to me" incident.
I hope all goes well and the orthpedist doesn't find anything that will complicate your recovery.

Reluctantly went to the dr because I mean you know? Just saying...
and the idea this guy might try to move the joint around is freaking me out a little.
My own DR has a strange manner anyway. Comes in the room slaps the xrays up look at them for about 30 seconds and says
"Well, it's busted" I wanted to ask him if that's a medical term but all my smart ass had been used up earlier after the xray tech tried to break my arm off.

Oh no! I hope it's well strapped up and that you've got good painkillers. :o(

No straps or casts yea! and the painkillers only necessary at night.
I guess the fracture is less serious that the possibility of joint freezing up. "Let the pain be your guide"
