Though, OMG I totally agree with the person who was bitching about the guys on "Destination Truth". I was watching that the other day and they really are a bunch of doofuses (doofi?). Fun doofi to watch, mind, but still--no safety gear, no protective gear and they use the night vision goggles (which make everything look creepy anyway) to great effect to make much out of nothing.
You might enjoy it--I watched them looking for (among other things) a bat demon in Tanzania (which they decided was really mostly a political ploy by the opposition party--the bat demon becomes a problem only just before elections. :D) and Giant Anacondas in Brazil (which, despite not having seen any sign of, they decided was plausible). Hee! Loads of fun.

I think Doofi fits perfectly. My favorite goof was when they were in Thailand (they like to make fun of the locals and don't seem to get they're the comic relief or maybe they do). Gates is sitting at a table and says "Sawati Ka" to the lady, she's giggling madly because only women say that.
