Because "T" aka the grumpy guy decided he'd like my monitor for his other computer (one for gaming one for business) he surprised me with a shiny new 19" wide screen. It is lovely and shiny and a little bigger than 17" flat screen he pinched from me. You all look beautiful, but a little stretched sideways if you know what I mean. He said I'd get used to it, but Photoshop is also stretched. This doesn't mean much to a gamer, wider is better, but does it affect graphics? Squares are rectangles!
Do any of you make icons on a widescreen? Are there setting to change in there?Does any of this matter?
I guess till I get used to it I'll be checking every icon on the laptop to make sure it doesn't look funny...
any ideas?

ETA Screw it. It's 25 pixels. I'm going swimming....

I just thought - some monitors have an internal menu as well, kind of like a TV set. You'd access it from a button on the front of the actual monitor. If yours has that, you can change the display dimensions using that - if the drivers and computer display settings are as they should be, that could be the solution.

We tried that too. I know the answer is there somewhere it's just a matter of finding just the right thing. It will be simple and make me feel stupid for not seeing it sooner.*sigh
