Volcano Update

Mt Redoubt's at it again.
Ash may be headed this way, we are at the mercy of the wind direction right now.
The Matanuska Vally already has ash fall. We are getting conflicting reports some say no ash expected to fall here some say ash fall around 2pm.
What a way to start the week.

Huh. I never would have thought to prepare coverings for electronics, since they are *in* the house and not actually exposed. But then again ash is like dust and probably gets in everywhere, doesn't it?

The good news, (for us at least) is the ash cloud is staying to the north, bad news for the folks in the north.

Winds are keeping the ash from us, but this volcano has been known to erupt for months.
Send good thoughts for the folks north of the site though, they may be in for a hard time of it.
At least we weren't on the plane send back to Seattle this time.

Not an easy task, crossing one's ears.

But if it helps keep the ash away - along with anything else bad happening in your direction - it's worth it

Everything seems to have calmed down, although Walmart had a lot of car covers and masks etc at the check out when we were there earlier.

Well, that's pretty exciting, providing one is far enough away to not be affected! Please DO NOT BREATHE the ash. It does terrible things to the lungs.

Oh, yeah. and I will never shovel snow covered ash again, learned my lesson the hard way.
Years ago we had ash raining down like snow.
