out of curiosity, how worried are we about this guy? do we think he's going to blow his stack, or just look threatening for a while?

It's already demonstrated 18 or 20 eruptions beginning in March. The big worry about Redoubt is ash fall and ash in the atmosphere affecting air transport. Jet engines and ash don't mix very well, so if there is the possibility of an airliner crossing the path of the ash the flights are turned back or grounded.
It can make breathing difficult so you need to stay indoors if you can and try not to exert much if you can't, seal you home and protect electronics change the air filters in the cars (a lot) things like that.As far as breathing it's not really much worse than the forest fires but can do more damage to the lungs if you're not careful.
Mostly it's inconvenient for us at 140 miles away but can be dangerous for those living closer.
No one lives close by, it's a pretty unpopulated area and also one of the reasons The Cook Inlet has silty mudflats.
