I survived BLACK FRIDAY!

Yes I did. I didn't get yelled at by one customer nor did I get trampled, stomped, shoved or in anyway Folded, Stapled, Spindled or Mutilated.
The perks of working in a craft store as opposed to a department store we get the overflow and people shopping Christmas decor. We had Cricut machines for $69.99! OMG!
Heard lots of horror stories about Target and Best Buy, we had a blizzard, one cashier didn't show, so they stuck me at a register (boo)but only for a while then back on the floor to play with Christmas ornaments and show people around. Off by noon and free till... well tonight anyway.

*g* We almost decided to drive up to Anchorage Thursday night, but finally decided against it. I've done Anchorage Black Friday a couple times and it is a madhouse.

We left Fred Meyers (the only place to shop in Soldotna!) just before their system crashed. A friend was still in-line and she said it was a disaster - people were getting upset and the employees were all completely frazzled.

Glad you had a fairly painless experience!

Probably for the best, the roads were heinous in town Friday. I can't even imagine what the highway was like, you may have been stuck here and I heard there was an avalanche today.
I usually stay home on BF if possible, because some of those people are crazy.
Last Friday night we had a power outage, we had fun restocking in the near dark with flashlights *g* and someone thought the RF guns would work because they're battery operated, they are but the computer with the info isn't. d'oh.

Congratulations! You survived the DEADLIEST DAY OF THE YEAR!!!! OMG one year these women got in a fight over dish towels. DISH TOWELS! One of them had to go the hospital! It was crazy...

My sister works at Walgreens, but she got sick and had to call in. She wasn't faking either, but in a way, she was lucky...sort of...lol.
