Yes I did. I didn't get yelled at by one customer nor did I get trampled, stomped, shoved or in anyway Folded, Stapled, Spindled or Mutilated.
The perks of working in a craft store as opposed to a department store we get the overflow and people shopping Christmas decor. We had Cricut machines for $69.99! OMG!
Heard lots of horror stories about Target and Best Buy, we had a blizzard, one cashier didn't show, so they stuck me at a register (boo)but only for a while then back on the floor to play with Christmas ornaments and show people around. Off by noon and free till... well tonight anyway.

Date: 2009-11-29 12:05 am (UTC)From:We left Fred Meyers (the only place to shop in Soldotna!) just before their system crashed. A friend was still in-line and she said it was a disaster - people were getting upset and the employees were all completely frazzled.
Glad you had a fairly painless experience!

Date: 2009-11-29 12:57 am (UTC)From:I usually stay home on BF if possible, because some of those people are crazy.
Last Friday night we had a power outage, we had fun restocking in the near dark with flashlights *g* and someone thought the RF guns would work because they're battery operated, they are but the computer with the info isn't. d'oh.
