Sara's post about misinformation earlier made me think of this.
Where did the thought part of joining a cause go? Do we really need to just join up to a cause without really finding out the facts? doing a little research? reading up on all sides of an issue? finding out the real agenda of the leaders?
You know take a little time to toss all the information around in our own heads and hearts to come up with a view of the subject that really makes sense? Are we really so lazy we let others think for us? Or embarrassed to admit we really don't know everything?
That we may need to learn something?
It's Scary. These people VOTE! Do they put the same amount of effort into that research?
This is political as I get. Sorry no name calling or mudslinging here, just a little weed picking. Move along....

I think they picked that particular venue because of the very fact that the type of people that gather at these events are thought to be intelligent and more well informed.
I'm very sure you're right about it being people in general, this is just the only vid I found that illustrated my point in the short amount of time I had this morning while thinking about what you were saying.
