Wedding yesterday. Bride amazing, groom lovely, everything that could go wrong went wrong, but hey the wedding can't start till the bride goes down the aisle.
Started out running late and things sort of spiraled from there.
We had a 5 year old ring bearer with no socks (my son had just moved and they couldn't find anything).
They were late after looking for them.
Our sound guy couldn't make it so my son and daughter had to train their sister's ex-husband (he and his boyfriend were wonderful to help decorate and set things up) to work the sound board so we'd have music.
My youngest daughter stepped on her dress when she climbed the stairs to the podium.
The ring bearer sitting between me and the grumpy guy wanted to talk about everything.
My Mom asked where the music was because we didn't want it really loud and she couldn't hear it.
The ring bearer was trying on the second ring after they took the first one during the ring ceremony and giving the congregation the thumbs up.The Paster has children that age so he was just stifling giggles :lol
The Unity candle wouldn't light and the Paster even tried to help with that, after they were talking about how you can't separate flame the candle went out.
Everything was wonderful and we are all so glad it's over. The church has been cleaned the stuff put away, the gifts delivered, the kids off on their honeymoon...
Oh wait that's right the car broke down! They were rescued and are away now. and I'm going to bed.
Stayed up till 2AM making sherbet hearts for the punch bowl which was totally missing. Had to improvise (no one noticed).
