I am not usually one to debate about anything, but today I made off hand comment in community that makes fun of typing mistakes and had a couple of people enlighten me to my wrongness *g* hehe).
It all centers around the phrase Another think coming and the fact that some have written thing instead. I had always thought that a typo.huh.
Okay, I was summarily corrected. It's not proper English. wha? So thing would be? Wouldn't you need a thing already to have another coming? Joking y'all.*g*
I had never even heard of this phrase, truly! it had always been think in anything I'd ever read or heard.
So. I went about trying to figure it out. My curiosity was awakened and people that know me start to hide at that point.
There are some links following at the end of this silliness, but what I really want to know is what you have heard or read and where? Is this truly a regional thing? Are all my sources wrong?
Here's another for you
Music hath charms to soothe the savage breast. I know that one is correct!
