Well, if the tsunami that hit Japan is any indication, I don't think we have much to worry about. The Emergency Broadcast System came on a couple of times (all weird tones and stuff) to extented the time some more.
So I'm going to bed, gotta get up early to finish my sg1cascadeicons entry.
Nothing like waiting till the last minute...

Yep, we were watching tv( SG1) to keep up with what was going on (sleeping actually) when the tone sounded and they lifted the watch sometime after 11pm.
They have to warn even if the danger is minimal.Mostly coastal fishermen need to watch for rough and dangerous seas today.
Nice to know it's in place though.
When the first tone sounded my son came running in the kitchen and I said "It's a test right ? They'll say it's only a test" that's when I heard the warning message instead. Kinda jumpstarts your heart.
