So have you had any snow yet? Some on my flist near Toronto had snow today that stayed on the ground! Not so usual before Hallowe'en in their neck of the woods.
If not, it seems to snow that night. We make the costumes big to fit over snowsuits (just in case)or stick to indoor venues. Trick or treating at the malls, church and/or school festivals or private parties. Always have treats for the kids that weather the cold and come out. Some years it's absolutely balmy, but for the most part quite brisk. We throw a Harvest Party every year at church, this year we're doing a hay ride (T pulling our trailer with a four wheeler) and I'll be doing the cake walk and diaper derby, along with games candy and prizes it's way more fun to be inside when it's cold, or even to drop by to warm up, play a few games and eat on the way to more houses. Some even go from place to place.
I got a kick out of seeing him on NCIS all grown up. Took me a couple of minutes the first time to figure out where I'd seen him though.*g* One of our favorite seasonal movies. I may make some more Hocus Pocus and even some Witches icons before long. Really need to find of copy of Lady in White too....

Some of my best memories from my childhood and youth are of Trick or Treating. I used to walk MILES with a pillow slip to fill up.
Our kids loved it, too. Our son used to like Hallowe'en better than Christmas.
I always had to make the kids costumes either warm or rather loose in order to accomodate sweaters and jackets underneath. =>}
